Nan Zhou

Director of Qualcomm Ventures

Nan is a Director at Qualcomm Ventures based in Bay Area. Her current investment focus is Artificial Intelligence, including AI in Retail, Manufacturing &  industrial automation, AIoT, and digital health. She is also a board observer for several QCV portfolios such as Aifi, inVia, Deephow, AliveCor, etc.

Prior to Qualcomm Ventures, Nan’s most recent position was head of U.S. investment at Baidu Capital and Baidu Changcheng Growth fund, both affiliated venture arms of Baidu (NASDAQ: BIDU). In this position, she established Baidu’s growth venture fund platform in Silicon Valley, built the artificial intelligence (AI) focused investment scope & deal sourcing network, and was responsible for the $00mm USD fundraising activities. Her selected deals include Kitt.ai (Baidu’s most important acquisition in 2017), Velodyne, Falcon Computing, MoreHealth, Ripcord, Cerebras, Atomwise, and Black Sesame.

Prior to Baidu, Nan served as Assistant Vice President of Investment Banking at Barclays and Jefferies, in both NYC and Hong Kong. She led several technology IPO and M&A deals during her investment banking career. She is familiar with both Asia and U.S. capital markets, M&A, and IPO execution processes.

Nan holds an MBA degree from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland at College Park.
